ISTANBUL (AA) - Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler announced that the person who stabbed a 16-year-old Besiktas fan to death yesterday (Sunday) during the football game between Besiktas and Caykur Rizespor has been arrested.
''The murderer has been arrested and his knife was found,'' said Guler.
According to Guler, Cihat Aktas was involved in a fight at halftime of the football game and was stabbed. Despite having been sent to the Taksim Emergency Hospital, Aktas died.
Aktas's killer Fatih Sozuer said that he had argued with Aktas at halftime. ''Our shoulders hit each other and after that we started to argue. I stabbed Aktas with my knife. My knife was hidden in my shoe,'' told Sozuer.
