SHARM EL-SHEIKH (AA) - Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul met on Monday Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi.
Gul is currently in Sharm al-Sheikh city of Egypt to attend meeting of regional initiative on Iraq and Iraq conference.
Gul and Kharrazi exchanged views on developments pertaining to Iraq.
Kharrazi advocated the request of Ankara for continuation of meeting of foreign ministers of Iraq's neighboring countries, which started with the initiatives of Turkey.
The two foreign ministers stressed that elections, expected to take place by the end of January in Iraq, should absolutely be held and should include all regions and groups of Iraq.
Both Gul and Kharrazi said they were not positive toward the requests of the Kurdish groups in Iraq to postpone the elections in Kirkuk, and pointed out that postponement of elections in one region contradicted the principle of inclusion of all groups to re-structuring of Iraq.
It was reported that Gul brought onto agenda the situation of Turkish truck drivers killed in Iraq and Kharrazi in his part conveyed the concerns they felt over the recent implementations of the United States particularly in Falluja.
