DTP leader Ahmet Kurt characterized President Abdullah Gul's statements regarding finding a solution to the Kurdish issue, as being "hopeful."
Turk, speaking during a DTP party group meeting, expressed that the solution to the Kurdish issue may be found by way of a constitution which consists of a societal agreement. He went on to state, "If the same demands made by the Turkish minority in Kosovo are realized here then there will no longer remain any issues. Turk then went on to make a call that "weapons be relinquished and society be joined."
