Erdogan: Azerbaijan's Sensitivity About Upper Karabakh Is Turkey's Sensitivity

BAKU - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that the sensitivity of Azerbaijan about Upper Karabakh was Turkey's sensitivity, too.
"As long as the occupation (of Armenia in Upper Karabakh) is not lifted, it is impossible to open border gates (between Turkey and Armenia)," added Erdogan who held a joint press conference with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

Erdogan said, "there is a cause-effect relation. Occupation of Upper Karabakh is a cause; closing border gates is an effect. Turkey closed its border gates with Armenia because Upper Karabakh was occupied. It is impossible to re-open the gates as long as occupation is not lifted. I have expressed this for many times so far, and today I express it in Baku again."

Erdogan said that Minsk group (the U.S., Russia and France) should speed up the negotiations which had been continuing for 18 years about the issue.
