Turkish Exports To Iraq Up

GAZIANTEP - Turkish exports from the southeastern part of the country to neighboring Iraq soared 62 percent in the first four months of 2009 when compared with the same period of last year.
Exports from southeastern Turkey reached 441 million USD in this period, according to figures of the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters' Assembly.

Exports to other countries increased only 5 percent in this period, figures revealed.

Turkish exporters shipped mostly textiles, grains and legumes, aquacultural products and dry fruits to Iraq.
