Turkish Parliament Speaker Holds Talks In Bosnia - Herzegovina

SARAJEVO - The Turkish parliament speaker began his formal meetings in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Thursday.
Turkey's Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan med Beriz Belkic, the speaker of Bosnia-Herzegovina House of Representatives; and Iliya Filipovic, the speaker of the House of Peoples, in Sarajevo.

"Turkey attaches great importance to Bosnia-Herzegovina's political and territorial integrity and sovereignty," Toptan told a joint press conference with Belkic.

Toptan said that the trade volume between the two countries were far away from the real potential, and it should be raised.

Also, Bosnia-Herzegovina had a small share of exports to Turkey, and it should be corrected.

"In the Joint Economic Committee that will convene in June, we have to enable more Turkish businessmen to invest in Bosnia-Herzegovina, find ways to overcome problems in importing raw materials, and launch firm cooperation and dialogue," Toptan said.

Also, Belkic said that his country immediately accepted Turkey's proposal to sign a cooperation protocol between the two parliaments, and his country would make necessary preparations for the protocol.
