ORLEANS, France (AFP) - Two people were killed and 24 injured, four of them seriously, when a coach taking them back from Spain to Brussels crashed in northern France, police said.
"All passengers of the coach were injured or worse," said a spokesman for the police.
The coach, which had 24 passengers on board and two drivers, had left San Sebastian in northern Spain around 9:15 pm (2015 GMT) on Saturday.
The accident happened in good weather at 5:00 am on a motorway near Orleans, south of Paris. The coach began zigzagging before falling on one side, sliding 50 metres (yards) and ending up in a ditch.
Two young women were catapulted out of the vehicle and died instantly. Four seriously injured passengers were taken to hospital in Orleans.
No other vehicle was involved and police said the driver, who was in serious condition, had probably fallen asleep at the wheel.
Nine people were repatriated to Belgium Sunday night and nine others were still in hospital at Orleans and two at nearby Blois.
