Turkish Film To Be Screened In United States

ISTANBUL - A Turkish film will be screened in the United States, sources said on Thursday.
Turkish film "Sonbahar" (Autumn), directed by Ozcan Alper, will be on the screen during the "New Directors/New Films" festival in New York.

The New-York based The Film Society of Lincoln Center and New York Museum of Modern Arts are jointly organizing the festival.

Casting Onur Saylak, Megi Koboladze, Serkan Keskin and Gulefer Yenigul, "Sonbahar" tells about a man struggling after his release from prison after ten years as a political prisoner.

The film was screened important festivals in Montreal, Bangkok, Sarajevo, Thessaloniki, Locarno (Switzerland) and Estonia, and won awards in the Tbilisi Film Festival, Sofia Film Fest, Angers Film Festival (France) as well as the Golden Boll Film Festival in the Turkish city of Adana, and the 20th Ankara International Film Festival.
