ISTANBUL - U.S. President Barack Obama arrived in Istanbul after his talks in the Turkish capital Ankara on Monday.
Obama attended a reception hosted by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul also participated in the reception hosted in honor of the U.S. President.

On Tuesday, Obama will meet the U.S. mission working at the U.S. Consulate-General in Istanbul and their families.

Obama will also meet religious representatives, visit Ayasofya Museum and Sultanahmet Mosque and have a meeting with 25 university students.

He is expected to depart from Turkey in the afternoon.
