Turkey Raises $442 Million Through Exports Of Hazelnuts

TRABZON - Turkey exported 66,934 tons of hazelnuts and earned 442,677,000 U.S. dollars in the 10th week of 2004-2005 hazelnut export season which started on September 1, 2004.
According to the data released by Black Sea Hazelnut & Products Exporters' Association, Turkey actually exporting hazelnuts to 80 countries.
Turkey exported 55,578 tons of hazelnuts to the EU, 6,094 tons of hazelnuts to other European countries, 3,470 tons of hazelnuts to overseas countries and 1,792 tons of hazelnuts to other countries.
In the same period of the previous export season, Turkey had exported 72,765 tons of hazelnuts and gained an income of 256,509,101 U.S. dollars.
