Leaders Arrive In Turkey To Attend World Water Forum

ISTANBUL - President Jalal Talabani of Iraq, Crown Prince Willem Alexander of the Netherlands and Prime Minister Han Seung-Soo of South Korea arrived in Turkey to attend the 5th World Water Forum in Istanbul.
The 5th World Water Forum will begin in Istanbul on Monday with the participation of some 25 thousand people from 107 countries and 13 international organizations. The forum will take place at Istanbul's Sutluce Culture and Congress Center and last for a week.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul held talks with President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan. He also received Foreign Minister Alberto G. Romulo of the Philippines.

Meanwhile, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Tajik President Rahmon, his South Korean counterpart Han Seung-Soo and President Talabani of Iraq.

Sources said that the issues of security and fight against terrorism were high on agenda of the meeting between Prime Minister Erdogan and President Talabani. (UK-MS)
