MOSCOW (AFP) - A fire ripped through a hostel in the southern Siberian town of Kyzyl, killing at least 14 people, Russian news agencies reported citing emergency ministry officials.
At least 17 people were hospitalized with burns, ITAR-TASS news agency said.
Rescuers led 107 people out of the burning building, which preliminary reports said caught fire in freezing temperatures because of an electrical fault.
Rescuers were due to continue their search through the rubble on Thursday, with regional officials saying more bodies may be yet be pulled out of the wreckage.
