ADANA - Train services between Syria`s Aleppo and Turkey`s southern province of Mersin will begin on March 13.
Turkish State Railways (TCDD) deputy Director General Erol Inan told A.A on Saturday that the first train service between Aleppo and Mersin would be held via Maydani Ekbez border gate on March 13.
Inan also said that the services between Aleppo and Turkish southeastern province of Gaziantep would begin after land mines on the border zone would be swept. He added that the mines would be cleared within 1-1,5 months.
He said that Aleppo-Mersin services would be held twice in a week, noting that the train would depart from Aleppo on mondays and thursdays, and from Mersin on tuesdays and fridays. Inan added that the train would carry nearly 400 passengers, and price would be 18.61 Euro.
Inan said that the price of Aleppo-Gaziantep train service would be 14.84 Euro.
