ANKARA - Turkey`s export figures decreased by 25.7 percent to 7.8 billion USD in January 2009 when compared to the same month of 2008, officials said on Friday.
According to the foreign trade figures announced by Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK), imports decreased by 43.3 percent to 9.2 billion USD in January 2009.
TUIK said that foreign trade deficit fell from 5.7 billion USD to 1.3 billion USD with a 75.9 percent decrease within the same period.
