ANKARA - European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide 2.2 billion Euro of loan to Turkey to be used by SMEs.
A press release posted on EIB`s website announced that EIB group was ready to provide 8.5 billion Euro of loan to New EU member states, pre-Accession Western Balkan states and pre-Accession Turkey to be used by SMEs in these countries.
According to the statement, New EU member states will receive 4.4 billion Euro, pre-Accession Western Balkan states 1.9 billion Euro and Turkey 2.2 billion Euro of this fund.
EIB loan comes as part of a joint action plan, launched by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank Group and World Bank Group to support the region?s banking sectors and facilitate lending to the real economy.
