ANKARA - Faction among Palestinian people is the biggest threat for them, Egyptian ambassador to Turkey said on Friday.
Alaeddin El Hadidi, Egyptian Ambassador to Turkey, replied to questions of A.A correspondent in regard to Israel`s attacks on Gaza, the situation in the region and Egypt`s views on the matter.
El Hadidi said that he has condemned Israel`s attacks on Gaza and his country believed that every problem should be solved through peaceful means.
Egypt has been exerting great efforts to bring together Fatah and Hamas for national unity and the unity would be the basis for rebuilding of Gaza, he said.
Replying to a question, El Hadidi said that his country lost its 120,000 people for Palestine and fought against Israel for four times.
Egypt was working to bring together Fatah and Hamas, and Turkey was also working for it, he said.
Pointing to Turkey`s significant and constructive role in this issue, El Hadidi said Turkey and Egypt wanted a Palestine living in peace and stability.
Egypt and Turkey were also working to remove the gap between Hamas and international community, he said.
In regard to the cooperation between Turkey and Egypt, El Hadidi said the two countries should work hard to boost it.
