BEIRUT - Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has said that the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) would support some certain projects in Iraq with a loan of 500 million USD.
Ihsanoglu said in an interview with the A.A that he paid a four-day visit to Iraq and held a series of important meetings with Iraqi authorities including President Jalal Talabani, Vice Presidents Adil Abd al-Mahdi and Tariq al-Hashimi, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.
"During the visit, an agreement was signed between Iraq and the OIC. Under the agreement, IDB will support some certain projects in Iraq with a loan of 500 million USD," he said.
