ANTALYA - The European Cooperation in Science & Technology (COST) will host its Chemistry and Molecular Sciences Technologies Committee meeting in the southern Turkish province of Antalya on March 2-3.
Professor Bekin Cetinkaya, chairman of the Ege Universitly Department of Chemistry, said in an interview with the A.A that most distinguished scientists in Europe would be in attendance at the meeting in Antalya.
"Although Turkey is one of founder members of COST, Turkey could not be represented with enough number of scientific projects. Now, we will present 2-3 projects during the COST committee meeting in Antalya," he said.
COST is an intergovernmental framework for European Cooperation in Science and Technology, allowing the coordination of nationally-funded research on a European level. COST contributes to reducing the fragmentation in European research investments and opening the European Research Area to cooperation worldwide.
