ANKARA - European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso expressed condolences over the Turkish Airlines plane crash in Amsterdam that killed 9 and injured 84 others.
Barroso sent a letter to Turkish President Abdullah Gul on Thursday and expressed condolences on behalf of the European Commission.
The Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800 with 127 passengers and seven crew members onboard slammed on a muddy field while attempting to land at Schiphol Airport. Nine people were killed and 84 others were injured in the accident.
