Switzerland And Turkey To Form Delegations On Extradition And Counter-terrorism

ANKARA - Switzerland's Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf said justice ministries of Turkey and Switzerland would reciprocally form delegations to deal with issues like extradition of criminals and counter-terrorism.
Widmer-Schlumpf who met with his Turkish counterpart Mehmet Ali Sahin said these delegations aimed at following and providing solutions to possible issues between the justice ministries of the two countries. She said the Swiss delegation which would come to Turkey would hold high level talks with their counterparts and also visit the prison complexes.
Widmer-Schlumpf said there were no major problems between the two countries, noting that relations in the area of economy and justice were developing.
She said Switzerland was determined to fight with drug smuggling and human trafficking noting that they were ready to cooperate with Turkey in the area of law enforcement.
In his part, Sahin told reporters that they discussed the extradition of 10 criminals, noting that problems stemmed from conflicting decisions given by different bodies of Switzerland.
