KOCAELI - Ford Automotive Industry (OTOSAN) has halted manufacturing at its factory in north-western province of Kocaeli until March 16.
The decision to halt auto production came after a sharp decline in auto demand both in and out of Turkey, told a senior labor union official on Thursday.
6,400 workers at OTOSAN will be on break until March 16. However, 65 percent of their salaries have been paid.
