Turkish Parliament Speaker Meets Syrian Premier

DAMASCUS - Turkish Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan met on Monday Syrian Prime Minister Muhammad Naji Al-Itri.
Al-Itri, while speaking at the meeting, emphasized importance of continuation of reciprocal visits between Turkey and Syria, noting that cooperation and current relations added momentum to the visits in question.
Al-Itri appreciated the stance of Turkish government and parliament towards the region to reach peace.
Syrian Prime Minister Itri said Bururizade Mustafa Efendi (Itri), who has an effigy on 100 TL banknote, was his grandfather.
