ISTANBUL - Dogan Holding of Turkey will join the tender for Turkey's National Lottery with its Italian partner Lottomatica.
The company said in a statement on Monday that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Italian Lottomatica S.P.A to form a joint venture to join the tender for the National Lottery.
Lottomatica Italy is one of the world's largest commercial lottery operators and a market leader in the Italian gaming industry.
The privatization process for Turkey's state-owned National Lottery is expected to begin in August.
The process will officially start after enactment of the bill on financial control.
Koc Group, Dogan Group, Cukurava Group and Is Yatirim are among the Turkish companies keeping a close eye on the privatization tender.
The National Lottery has a 32 percent of market share in Turkey with an annual turnover of 683 million USD and 189 million USD of net profit.
