IRBIL - A Turkish platform will have a meeting in Iraq, executives said on Saturday.
Turkey`s Abant Platform will hold its first meeting in the Iraqi city of Irbil on Sunday.
The theme of the meeting will be "seeking peace and future together", and it will last for two days.
Sociologists, political scientists, authors, and researchers will debate common cultural values and future, mutual dependence and opportunities, and future perspective.
In the meeting, around 100 participants are expected to particularly discuss relations between Turkey and the regional administration in north of Iraq.
The meeting is expected to end after a statement is released on Monday.
The Abant Platform has been gathering in Turkey since 1998. It also shares its experience with several other centers.
The platform held a meeting in Washington D.C. in April 2004 on "Islam, Democracy and Secularism: Turkey Experience" in cooperation with John Hopkins University; another one at the European Parliament (EP) in Brussels with cooperation of Leuven University in December 2004. The meeting at the EP was on "Turkey`s European Union (EU) Membership Process: Culture, Identity,Religion."
