Rumsfeld says no talks with Bush on Pentagon future

WASHINGTON, Nov 8 (AFP) - US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said Monday he has not yet discussed with President George W. Bush whether he should stay at the Pentagon since Bush's election triumph.
Rumsfeld is one of many top officials who names have been linked to possible administration changes. But media reports have said Rumsfeld wants to stay on to see the Iraq campaign through to the end and make new steps in a radical transformation of the US military.
"I've met with him (Bush) two or three times on totally different subjects since the election, but that's not a subject that's come up," Rumsfeld told a press conference.
Bush was to consider administration changes during his weekend at the presidential retreat at Camp David in Maryland. He said last week that changes were "inevitable".
"The president has spoken on this issue," Rumsfeld said. "He went to Camp David. He's thinking about his administration for the future."
