Body of missing Turkish driver discovered in Iraq morgue

ANKARA, Nov 7 (AFP) - Relatives of a Turkish trucker who went missing in Iraq have discovered his body in a morgue in the war-torn country, Anatolia news agency reported.
The body of Ejder Ugur, 57, was laid to rest on Sunday in his hometown of Payas in the southern province of Hatay, the agency said.
Relatives said they were told by Iraqi authorities that the driver was killed in an armed attack, according to Anatolia.
Ugur went missing about two months ago after he travelled to neighboring Iraq to transport fuel.
No other details were immediately available.
Turkish truckers shipping goods to Iraq have increasingly become the target of kidnappers and gunmen in the country, prompting Ankara to seek enhanced security measures for its nationals.
