SIRNAK - Turkish police seized four hand grenades, 13 AK-47 assault rifle (Kalashnikov) and three kilograms of explosives in southeastern city of Sirnak, Governor's Office said on Monday.
The Governor's Office stated that police, taking action after it collected necessary intelligence, confiscated 13 AK-47 assault rifles, 14 cartridge clips, one handgun, four hand grenades, three kilograms of explosives, one landmine, and two fuses hidden in a vehicle in Baglica village of Sirnak's Uludere town.
The Office noted that one person was detained in the operation, and added that an investigation was still going on to understand if this detainee had links with any terrorist organization.
On the other hand, security forces killed one member of the terrorist organization PKK/Kongra-Gel in their clashes with terrorists in Silvan town of southeastern city of Diyarbakir.
