THREE RECORDS IN EXPORT
Turkey's export rate broke a new record in October. The monthly export amount exceeded 5.9 billion U.S. dollars. Export amount in the first 10 months of 2004 exceeded 51 billion dollars while it exceeded 60 billion dollars in 12 months. The monthly export rate which reaches 5 billion 914 million dollars with an increase of 20.4 percent in October is expected to be more than 6 billion dollars in the next month.
EUROPEANISM IS AN OBSTACLE FOR US MORE THAN EVERYBODY
Turkish Parliament discussed EU Progress Report. Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc said, ''we do not assess the report as black or white.'' He added, ''we evaluate the report with its positive and negative aspects.''

TALAT ASKS FOR CHANGE IN PLAN
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat shed green light to a change in Annan Plan. He spoke to Fileleftheros newspaper. When asked if TRNC was ready to discuss changes pertaining to Annan Plan, Talat said, ''of course we will discuss the proposals of Papadopoulos if he has. Naturally we will present our own proposals.'' Talat said negotiations regarding Cyprus question should be done under the UN umbrella, not the EU. Talat added that Rauf Denktas, President of TRNC, is only a symbol and he is very neutral and has limited authorities.
PRICE OF AIRBUS IS COMMERCIAL SECRET
Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan said that the price of Airbus planes which Turkey buys is a commercial secret and it cannot be announced. Unakitan added that Turkey bought the planes with a very good discount.

Former Energy ministers Ersumer and Cakan presented a petition to High Tribunal before their judgement today. They said to Tribunal, ''you cannot judge us.''
LAST VICTIM OF TRAFFIC IS A PHYSIC GENIUS
Prof. Ordal Demokan, who is known as the master of physicians and introduced plasma and fusion physics to Turkey, died in a traffic accident caused by a 17 year old driver who does not have a license. Demokan was an academician at Middle East Technical University.

UNEMPLOYMENT CANNOT BE OVERCOME
According to the report of Morgan Stanley, Turkey's national income per capita increased 25 percent. It said unemployment rate is 19.5 percent.
SCHOOL SHALL FINISH AND WE GET RID OF IT
Academicians of Maltepe University made a research. According to the research, 91.5 percent of the students are not pleased with education system. They think the education in schools does not prepare them for life. They wanted to finish the school rapidly and to get rid of it.

PRICE OF 36 AIRBUS IS SECRET
Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan did not reveal the price of 36 Airbus planes which were bought for Turkish Airlines (THY). He said it is a commercial secret.
INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS INCREASES THE EXPORT RATE
Oguz Satici, the Chairman of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), said, ''we are very close to the target of 60 billion dollars which is envisaged for the end of 2004 in export rate. According to strategical plan, the export amount is envisioned as 75 billion dollars by the end of 2006.'' He added that the highest increase was recorded in industrial products with 23.8 percent in October.

It is possible to see a Turkish investment or product in every place of the world. Turkish companies which have signed various projects in Middle East, Balkans and Turkish Republics besides Europe now started to invest in Africa. Tradesmen of Incirlik, where Incirlik Airbase is located, are supporting George W. Bush in U.S. elections. They say, ''if John Kerry, candidate of Democrat Party, is elected, the foreign policy of the United States will change. Thus, the condition of Incirlik Airbase will be passive. If Bush wins, Incirlik Airbase will be used more actively. Thus, our financial condition will be better.''

MPs WAITING FOR TURKISH TRANSLATION OF PROGRESS REPORT
Ministers are waiting for the distribution of Turkish translation of European Union Progress Report which was published nearly 20 days ago. Following Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy leader Onur Oymen, Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Hatay deputy Fuat Gecen also wanted the translation of the report.
PRODUCTIVITY AND GROWTH TO DECREASE UNEMPLOYMENT
International investment bank Morgan Stanley stated that Turkey has caught the high economic growth in the last 10 quarters, but this growth could not eliminate the unemployment rate which emerged in previous economic crisis.
