LONDON (AFP) - Former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu will learn what punishment, if any, the Football Association will take against hin when a disciplinary panel meets on Thursday.
Romania captain Mutu, 25, was sacked by Chelsea last week for failing a drugs test. But on Monday a statement from Mutu's lawyer said the forward would accept any punishment from the FA without appeal.
However, the same statement made clear that Mutu, signed from Parma for 15.8 million pounds in 2003, is unhappy with the way his case has been reported and threatened legal action.
If banned, Mutu could be barred from playing in England for between six months to two years.
