Efforts To Create A New Government Continue In The Northern Cyprus

LEFKOSA - Dervis Eroglu, Chairman of the National Unity Party, has renounced to form a new government in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus TRNC. Mr. Eroglu was received this morning by TRNC President Rauf Denktas and informed him of his failure.
After the audience Eroglu reminded journalists that he ''was authorized by President Denktas, on October 21, to form a new government but was unable to do so after consultations with local parties.'' ''I am thankful to President Denktas for his confidence in me and my party,'' said Eroglu.
Denktas expressed ''sadness over the impossibility of forming a new government.'' ''I will delegate the task of forming a new government to another politician,'' said Denktas.
