DENIZLI - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Sunday that ''Turkey is the fastest growing country among OECD members.'' Participating at the opening ceremony of the Denizli Judicial Palace, Erdogan said that ''the purchasing power of our citizens have increased. We now talk about an inflation rate of only nine percent compared to 30 p.c. a year ago.''
According to OECD reports, Turkey has an annual growth rate of 10 percent. ''The city of Denizli has an important role in our exports. Denizli has an annual foreign trade amount of 2.5 billion U.S. Dollars,'' remarked Erdogan.
The Prime Minister informed the reporters that his ''government will help the economically disadvantaged people in their attempts to buy their own apartments.'' ''With only one thousand U.S. Dollars down payment and a monthly payment of one hundred U.S. Dollars for 15 years, families will be able to purchase apartments,'' expressed Erdogan.
