THIS IS SOUTHERN CYPRUS CRITERIA
Greek Cypriot press imposed publication embargo to Greek Cypriot journalist Antonis Angastiniyotis who said Greek Cypriot people were not informed about realities in Cyprus and that the murderers who are still living should be judged.
Angastiniyotis said, ''I have been seeing the photographs of the massacre every time I go to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). But we have not been informed about them. I saw the other side of the story when I searched thoroughly.''
He said, ''I decided to prepare this documentary. Blood and suffering do not have flag or nation. I am looking for the realities. We had to be informed about these. Greek Cypriot televisions did not broadcast the documentary.''
''Greek Cypriots had massacred 126 people, most of them children and women, in three Turkish villages in 1974. Some of the murderers are still living. Not only the Greek Cypriot administration, but also the whole Greek Cypriot people should apologize from Turkish people. Relatives of the victims should be paid compensation and the murderers should be judged.''
Greek Cypriot journalist Antonis Angastiniyotis, who made the massacre of the Greek Cypriots in three Turkish villages was excommunicated in his country.
NINE DIE IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
Nine people died when a minibus going from Ankara to central Anatolian city of Cankiri collided head on with a lorry near Cerkes Township in Cankiri.
Nine people died and five others were injured in the accident.

PLAN TO INTERVENE IN KIRKUK IN 18 HOURS
Turkish General Staff, feeling uneasy over the plans of Kurdish groups to change demographical structure particularly in Kirkuk, prepared a plan to launch an operation against north of Iraq with 40 thousand soldiers.
It was reported that the United States did not want to leave oil regions in north of Iraq to the control of Kurdish groups, and to this end, it expended support to preparations of Ankara.
Demands of Iraqi Kurdistan Democrat Party (KDP) and Iraqi Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) toward Kirkuk, where Turkmens were heavily populated, caused great uneasiness in Turkey. Statements of KDP leader Massoud Barzani that ''Kirkuk is the heart of Kurds'' further escalated the concerns.
Upon the developments, General Staff prepared a plan to intervene in the region with two army corps.
ERDOGAN: ''PUBLIC OPINION IS AFFECTED WHEN THE LEADER IS DETERMINED''
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Spanish Prime Minister in Rome that, ''when the leader is determined, the public opinion is affected by this. Support in my party to the European Union (EU) has increased from 30 percent to 80 percent.''
Erdogan told the European leaders that support in his Justice and Development Party (AK Party) to EU stemmed from his political determination.
Erdogan, who joined EU Constitution signing ceremony in Rome on October 29th, met Spanish Prime Minister Rodriguez Zapatero.
The view that a referendum should take place for Turkey's EU membership was discussed at the meeting.
Erdogan stressed the importance of political will in directing public opinion, and noted that, ''when the leader is determined, all the public will be affected by this.''

LOBBY FOR ERBAKAN
Felicity Party (SP) leader Necmettin Erbakan, who was sentenced to 11 years in prison in a case publicly known as ''missing trillion'' had got a health report proving that his health would not be appropriate to serve imprisonment terms. The report, which was valid for one year, will expire on December 23rd. Erbakan, following a change in the law, wants to pay for the ''missing trillion'' and get rid of serving imprisonment terms.
16-YEARS ANGER FOR TOXIC BARRELS
Inhabitants of Soguksu village, who want toxic barrels, which had been kept in waste depots since 1998, be taken away protested Italy.
A group of citizens, who live in villages near the depots, staged a protest and carried placards writing, ''Spain gets its waste back, now it is your turn, Italy''.
Villagers said diseases increased after the barrels were brought to the region, and that the plants in the region were rotted.

NEW ORDER TO PRISONS
Criminal Execution Draft Law, which Justice and Development Party (AK Party) wants to pass from the Parliament till EU Summit in December 17th, re-arranges the rules in prisons.
The draft brings the obligation for the prisoners to wear uniform dress, despite the oppositions that it may cause tension.
With a change in the discipline administration, a series of punishments, like putting into cell, can be given to prisoners.
ALIAGA TO BE SAVED
Scrap ships from now on will be considered as toxic waste. Under the related provision of the Basel Agreement, scrap ships will not be sent to Aliaga before necessary measures are taken.

''SEMINARY FILE''
Turkish Foreign Ministry presented a file, having two alternatives, to Prime Ministry for Seminary school.
In the ''profits'' section of the file which Foreign Ministry assessed the opening of Heybeliada Seminary, it was stressed that it should be shown that ''banning'' mentality in Turkey was removed.
In the ''objections'' section, it was reported that inflow of students from many countries of the world, mainly from Greece, may be seen.
BOMBER CAUGHT
Yasin Hayal, who was wanted with the allegations that he left a hand made bomb in front of the McDonalds in Black Sea city of Trabzon last Sunday, was caught in Istanbul. Six people had been injured after the bomb exploded.

TRNC ELECTIONS EXPECTED SOON
National Unity Party Chairman Dervis Eroglu could not achieve any result after consulting with other party leaders. Eroglu will return the duty of forming a government to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus President Rauf Denktas. Denktas is expected to take a decision to hold elections soon.
FORMER MINISTERS TO FACE HIGH TRIBUNAL
Former Energy and Natural Resources Ministers Cumhur Ersumer and Zeki Cakan will be tried as of tomorrow at the High Tribunal. Both of the ministers face charges from one year to ten years of prison for illegal interference in various government tenders.

Due to rising oil prices and the limited amount of oil reserves left throughout the world, the Turkish government has begun encouraging the use of sugar-beet and soya-bean as new resources of energy for vehicles.

With the start of talks, EU is expected to provide more donations to Turkey. The EU will give Turkey 300 million Euros in donations next year. In 2006, Turkey will receive a donation of 500 million Euros from the EU.
