MIAMI (AFP) - American Lindsay Davenport remained atop the WTA women's tennis world rankings released.
But France's Amelie Mauresmo, who was deposed of her number one ranking by Davenport two weeks ago, closed the gap again after her win in Sunday's WTA final in Linz over Russian Elena Bovina.
Serena Williams is the only mover in the top ten as she jumps one spot to eighth by trading places with fellow American Jennifer Capriati, as Bovina moves up three places to 16th after reaching the final in Austria.
