TEL AVIV, Nov 1 (AFP) - Three people were killed and more than 30 others wounded when a Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up in an open-air market in the heart of Israel's commercial capital of Tel Aviv on Monday.
The attack, which came three days after veteran Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat was flown out of the West Bank for medical treatment in France, was claimed by the leftist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
Following is a list of the most deadly anti-Israeli attacks in the more than four-year Palestinian uprising against occupation that has claimed more than 4,540 lives.

2001
- June 1: Twenty-one people are killed and scores more wounded in a suicide bombing outside a beachfront Tel Aviv nightclub claimed by Hamas.
- Aug 9: Fifteen people are killed and 88 wounded in a Palestinian suicide bomb attack in west Jerusalem claimed by Hamas.
- Dec 1: Ten people are killed and around 170 wounded when two Hamas members blow themselves up in west Jerusalem.
- Dec 2: Fifteen people are killed when a Hamas militant blows himself up in the northern coastal town of Haifa.

2002
- March 2: A suicide bomber from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades kills 10 other people in a religious neighbourhood of west Jerusalem.
- March 9: A Palestinian suicide bomber slips into a crowded Jerusalem cafe near Sharon's residence, killing 11 other people.
- March 27: A suicide bomber kills 29 people with over 100 injured in an attack at a hotel in Netanya. Hamas's armed wing, the Ezzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, claims the attack, the deadliest since the beginning of the uprising.
- March 31: A suicide bomb attack on a Haifa restaurant kills 16 Israelis.
- May 7: Sixteen people are killed when a Hamas militant blows himself up in a crowded pool hall in Rishion Letsion, south of Tel Aviv.
- June 5: A car bomb explodes next to a bus at Megiddo in northern Israel, killing 18 people in an attack claimed by Islamic Jihad.

- Jan 29: Eleven people are killed in a suicide attack on a bus in west Jerusalem.
- March 14: Twin suicide attack in the Israeli port of Ashdod kills 10 people, plus the bombers.
- Aug 31: Sixteen people are killed, plus the bombers, and 80 people wounded in a twin attack on two buses in the southern Israeli town of Beersheva.
