World Association Of Press Councils Headquarters Moves To Turkey

ISTANBUL - The World Association of Press Councils (WAPC) has made a decision to move its headquarters to Istanbul, Turkey.
In a press statement at the ninth World Conference and General Assembly meeting, the WAPC declared its new headquarters as Istanbul, Turkey. The conference was attended by 110 delegations from 23 different countries. Oktay Eksi, President of the WAPC, delivered the opening speech at the conference which convened between 23-26 October, 2004.
