ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan telephoned Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat on Thursday night during his journey to Italian capital Rome.
Diplomatic sources told the A.A correspondent that Arafat wanted to talk to Prime Minister Erdogan after the night prayer.
Upon Arafat's wish, Prime Minister Erdogan called him on the phone during his journey to Rome.
Erdogan wished Arafat quick recovery, and asked him whether or not he needed anything.
Arafat suffering from a serious but undisclosed illness, was taken to French capital Paris on Friday for urgent treatment.
