Finance Minister Unakitan Meets Investors In London

LONDON - Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan said on Friday that ''Turkey has become an economic heaven and that Turkey should take advantage of the positive political and economic atmosphere in the West on Turkey.''
Kemal Unakitan met with investors at a breakfast organized by Morgan Stanley group in London. ''We have begun a privatization process by selling public bodies to the public,'' stated Unakitan.
Unakitan added that Turkey would decrease its budget deficit to 3 percent in a few years, the ratio that was stated as a Maastricht criterion.
