Montgomery and Gaines doping cases postponed

LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AFP) - Doping cases of world 100m record holder Tim Montgomery and Chryste Gaines have been postponed, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said.
They were due to have opened next week but the CAS said the hearings were delayed upon request of all parties.
Dates for a new hearing will be announced later.
Gaines and Montgomery, along with fellow US athletes Alvin Harrison and Michelle Collins are facing charges by the US anti-doping agency (USADA).
It follows an investigation into the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative (BALCO) lab, whose owners face charges of distributing drugs, including the newly-discovered steroid THG (tetrahydrogestrinone).
None of the athletes have failed a doping test but USADA is building charges based on what it calls "non-analytical positives".
Both athletes face a life ban and have requested that their testimony be examined by CAS rather than the USADA.
