Sener: We Aim To Increase Trade Volume Between Turkey And Georgia To 1 Billion Dollars

TBILISI - ''We aim to increase trade volume between Turkey and Georgia to 1 billion U.S. dollars,'' said Turkish State Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener.
Sener told reporters as he was visiting Turkish-Georgian Businessmen Association that elimination of bad image of Turkish products in Georgia will be achieved by Turkish businessmen who are active in Georgia. He added, ''Turkey, today, is on a level which it can compete with many countries.''
Sener said, ''foreign trade volume between two countries was 420 million U.S. dollars in 2003. We aim to increase this figure to 1 billion dollars.''
Turkish businessmen, who also attended the meeting, briefed Sener about the problems they have been facing in Georgia.
They said they have serious difficulty in banking sector, tonnage procedure in transportation and taking working visa.
Sener will represent Turkey in Black Sea Economic Cooperation Foreign Ministers meeting in Tbilisi on Friday.
