KABUL (AFP) - Armed uniformed men kidnapped three UN election workers in Kabul, including an Irish woman, a woman from Kosovo, and a man believed to be Filipino, United Nations officials told AFP.
"One of them is a woman who told me she was from Ireland, and the other woman is from Kosovo," said the UN official, on condition of anonymity.
The third abductee was a man believed to be from the Philippines, another UN official said. All three had been working for the joint UN-Afghan election commission.
