Summer-time To End On October 31st

ANKARA - The day-light saving implementation will end on October 31st, 2004 as the clocks will be set back by one hour.
The summer-time which was adopted together with the European countries, has been continuing since March 28th, 2004.
A total of 6.2 billion kilowatt hours of energy has been saved with summer-time application from 1990 to 2003.
The summer-time application will start again on March 27th, 2005.
Officials said that they expected an energy saving of 700 million kilowatt from this year's summer time application. This amount is equivalent to annual production of a medium-size hydroelectric power plant.
According to a decision of the Council of Ministers which was published in the Official Gazette on March 16th, 2002, beginning and end dates of the summer time application in the next two years are as follows:

-March 27th, 2005 - October 30th, 2005
-March 26th, 2006 - October 29th, 2006
