ANKARA - Prince Charles will come to Turkey to re-open the building of British Consulate General in Turkish metropolis of Istanbul, which was restored after a terrorist attack was staged last November, British Embassy in Ankara said on Saturday.
The British Embassy in Ankara said that Prince Charles would arrive in Turkey tomorrow (Sunday), and hold talks in Ankara and Istanbul for two days.
Prince Charles will inaugurate the Consulate General building in Istanbul, which was restored as it was damaged in a terrorist attack in November of 2004. The terrorist attack killed 16 people, including ten personnel of the Consulate.
Turkish Culture & Tourism Minister Erkan Mumcu is also expected to attend the inauguration.
On the other hand, Prince Charles is expected to meet Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
