KONYA - Turkish Criminal Court in central city of Konya sentenced contractor Veli Gocer to 25 years in prison on charges of causing death of people by behaving incautiously and carelessly.
195 people died as the buildings he constructed in Cinarcik town of northwestern city of Yalova collapsed in the devastating earthquake of August 17th, 1999.
The court also sentenced Veli Gocer`s son Can Gocer and his partner Zafer Coskun to 25-year imprisonment on same charges.
