Kayalar: We Plan To Increase Our Export To African Counties

ANKARA - ''We plan to increase our exports to African countries at the rate of 40 percent next year,'' said Foreign Trade Undersecretary Tuncer Kayalar.
Releasing a written statement, Kayalar said, ''we have exerted intensive efforts to increase exports to African countries. We have signed Free Trade Agreement with Morocco, initialed another one with Tunis and we pursue meetings with countries which EU signed Free Trade Agreement.''
''We have signed Cooperation Agreement on Trade and Economy with Kenya and Tanzania last week. Bilateral commercial talks are going on with other African countries,'' stated Kayalar.
''In spite of high customs fees, exports just to northern African countries will reach to 2 billion U.S. dollars by the end of this year,'' he added.
