MANCHESTER (AFP) - Manchester City manager Kevin Keegan believes it will be very difficult for Chelsea to catch their London rivals Arsenal in the race for the Premiership title.
"I don't think anyone in this country is close at this moment to Arsenal," Keegan told the City website.
City's win over Chelsea meant Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premiership to five points over Chelsea.
"It is unfair to compare Chelsea with Arsenal as they are just starting to build while Arsene Wenger has been building his squad for something like eight years."
But he tips Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho for eventual success.
"I think in Jose Mourinho Chelsea have a coach who will anger people with his confidence but I think he will be good for the Premiership," he said
"I think he will grow on people especially if he is successful and he has every chance with the squad he has got.
"If you took Chelsea's bench from Saturday and put it into our side then we might be talking about a top three finish.
"He is a character, he wants to win he is different to me but he has got the same thing inside him as I have. That is the way we all are."
