Iraq group executes two Macedonians: Al-Jazeera

DOHA, Oct 18 (AFP) - A group calling itself the Islamic Army in Iraq has said it executed two Macedonian men it accused of spying for US forces, Al-Jazeera television reported Monday.
The group said in a statement that its "security apparatus arrested the two men a few days ago as they left a US base in Iraq. Interrogation of the two individuals and documents found on them proved they spied for US forces," the news channel said.
Footage aired by Al-Jazeera, which said it came from the Islamic Army in Iraq, showed two men and their identity cards with a banner of the group in the background.
The Islamic Army in Iraq is the same group which took two French journalists hostage 60 days ago.
