LONDON (AFP) - Manchester United said no takeover offer had been received from US sports tycoon Malcolm Glazer and that his talks with the club's biggest shareholders appeared to have broken down.
The English football giants confirmed for the first time Friday that takeover talks had taken place between Glazer and Manchester United, but said there was "no definitive proposal for the board to consider".
