GAZA CITY, Oct 12 (AFP) - A huge explosion rocked Gaza City outside the headquarters of the Palestinian security services late Tuesday in what witnesses said appeared to be an assassination attempt against a top security official.
The blast occurred as the convoy of Musa Arafat, head of general security in the Gaza Strip, was pulling out of the security headquarters, they said.
Initial reports said the blast was caused by a car bomb.
Musa Arafat is a relative of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.
