MUNICH, Germany (AFP) - German semi-conductors giant Infineon said it would receive a smaller stake than originally envisaged in US firm Finisar Corp in exchange for the German group's fibre optics business.
Infineon originally agreed in April to sell its fibre optics activities to Finisar in exchange for 38 percent of the US company's share capital.
But the terms of the deal have now been modified to take account of the operating performance of Infineon's fibre optics business over the past six months, the German company said in a statement.
Under the new terms, Infineon would only receive a 33-percent stake in Finisar in exchange for the activities.
