MIAMI, Florida, Oct 9 (AFP) - Six Cuban baseball players have sneaked into the United States, arriving in Miami by boat, US news reports said on Saturday.
The players landed in Florida on Wednesday after two days at sea where they managed to escape detection by Cuban law enforcement.
The group includes Yunel Escobar Almenares, Yamel Guevara and Johan Limonta Zayas.
The three others are Jose Angel Cordero Valdez and Joel Perez Mendieta and junior Rafael Galbizo Figueroa.
The players are all 24 years or younger and likely have aspirations of playing professional in the United States.
